The council is only allowed to award grants to small businesses. That is a business with two of the following:

  • turnover of no more than £10.2m
  • balance sheet total no more than £5.1m
  • no more than 50 employees

Please provide us with either:

a)       A certified statement by an independent accountant that, in their professional opinion, your business qualifies as either a small or ‘micro’ business

Or

b)      A copy of the accounts for your previous year of trading, a copy of management accounts for the current year of trading, including estimates of expected turnover and balance sheet total.  If you have been trading for less than a year, please provide the relevant management accounts.
